Everipedia and Brave are teaming up to help boost each others’ business.

The blockchain-based digital encyclopedia Everipedia and privacy-focused web browser Brave announced on Thursday that two companies have entered into a “co-marketing agreement.”

The move ties together two major blockchain brands that compete in different arenas of the Web 3.0 ecosystem. According to a joint press release, both Everipedia and Brave “boast millions of monthly active users.” Brave last month celebrated reaching 8 million monthly users, while Everipedia has seen its monthly visitors fluctuate between 1 and 2 million over the last 6 months, according to data from website analytics firm Similarweb.

"This partnership highlights the importance of innovative products that reward user attention and participation," Brendan Eich, CEO and co-founder of Brave, said in a statement.

Brave users can already already support Everipedia by using “Brave Rewards” from within the browser powered by the Basic Attention cryptocurrency. As part of the new agreement, “Everipedia will promote featured articles about Brave and Brave-related content, while Brave will feature Everipedia ads for users who opt into privacy-preserving Brave Ads.”

Other aspects of the partnership include joint ad placements on each others’ websites, co-promotional ventures between two two firms on things like podcasts and AMAs, and, eventually, working to integrate each others’ platforms into their own communities.

"Brave and Everipedia are both early examples of how blockchain technology is changing our lives," said Theodor Forselius, CEO and co-founder of Everipedia. "We provide an uncensorable knowledge layer for the world and Brave protects our information while browsing. This partnership is a natural extension of our vision to enable free, safe and accessible access to information using blockchain technology."
