Bitcoin-gaming company ZEBEDEE has partnered with Slice, an advertising technology startup, to allow users to pay in bitcoin when they search the web, according to a press release sent to Bitcoin Magazine.
Slice has developed a browser extension that can be plugged into Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Edge or Brave and the extension will offer rewards as the user earns redeemable points, or slice,
“Today, people surfing the web are entitled to high standards to receive value in return for their attention, and to claim that value in the form of real money, delivered to them immediately,” says Darina Omansky, The co-founder and COO told the piece.
Points are based on advertisements that users see in the browser from time to time as they surf the web. Web surfers can then redeem their points in the form of bitcoin by connecting their extension to ZEBEDEE’s app.
In addition, since Slice has built-in integrations using ZEBEDEE’s already existing infrastructure, any payments associated with the account with the gaming company will be instant, without any fees. This functionality is achieved through the leverage of ZEBEDEE’s Bitcoin Lightning Network.
“ZEBEDEE is a perfect match for Slice with respect to actual last-mile execution,” Omansky said.
“It doesn’t matter where you are from and what local currency you use,” Omansky continued. “Their platform makes it extremely easy to implement this functionality, and the fact that it runs on bitcoin makes it instantly accessible around the world.”
The browser extension is now live and all you need is a browser extension and a ZEBEDEE account to start earning some inactive, no-fee bitcoins.
