Voice NFTs: Just when you think the NFT bubble is peaking, along comes another absurd yet brilliant offering that boggles the minds of what people would pay good money for.
The world’s first Voice NFT, sold by an organization called Voiceverse, launched on January 29 with 8,888 NFTs. The NFTs in question sold out less than 10 minutes after the public sale.
The three BAYC members formed Voiceverse Origins. They have added voice clips on BAYC NFTs and created some original NFTs, which are full of voice clips.
The company says that the sales frenzy is “an extremely rare event for NFT collections stored on the Ethereum blockchain.” The march of the NFT gravy train is on!
The company says, “Voiceverse wants to pioneer the NFT space in the next generation of NFTs that have high internal usability, allowing holders to have a voice in the Metaverse. With Voice NFT, people can now share their Profile Picture (PFP) ) can customize NFTs with voice, adding another dimension of personalization and pseudonymity.
Voice NFTs: How They Work
Holders of verbal NFTs can use voice in the metaverse space, from games to video calls and other socials. They can also create a verbal NFT of their own voice or, with explicit permission, the voice of their loved ones. Owners can mix different Voice NFTs to “breed” a new NFT. And of course, users can add voice to their existing PFP NFTs, giving them a new life.
The parent company, LOVO, is based in San Francisco and Seoul, and began in the AI speech synthesis space. The venture capital-backed startup already has partnerships with celebrity voice actors.
