Digital platform Iconia has launched NFT sales to raise funds for charities in Ukraine. More than 43 million versions of the NFT under the name ‘Stand with Ukraine’ will be sold for $10 each, aiming to raise $432,875,120. Every time an NFT is sold, the 10% royalty fee will continue to be donated to charity.
Kyiv and Gothenburg-based digital platform Iconia will sell 43,287,512 NFTs for each citizen of Ukraine. They state that 100% of the proceeds will be donated to one of three Ukrainian charities verified by Iconia. The buyer gets to choose which of these their donations go to.
Each version of ‘Stand with Ukraine’ NFT has been created in collaboration with Colombia/New York-based artist Felipe Posada, who designed the work for free.
NFTs can be purchased using credit/debit cards, ensuring that the collection is well accessible to the general public as well as those already in NFTs. They say, excluding the inevitable fees and taxes, 100% of the proceeds will go to charity.
NFTs are mined on polygons. It is touted as an eco-friendly Ethereum-based scaling blockchain.
This fall is part of Iconia’s MAUER Collection, which has so far raised over $264,000 for charity with its NFT release. The MAUER collection was released to draw attention to the fact that it has been 60 years since the construction of the Berlin Wall.

Iconia itself has employees in Ukraine. Iconia CEO Patrick Arneson said the scale of the attack took everyone by surprise. “And as we speak, Ukraine’s freedom, history and soul are in danger. We cannot sit idly by; we must provide assistance. The money generated from these NFTs goes entirely to three wonderful charities that directly Will improve the lives of those most in need.
“If each NFT is purchased, we will raise over $430 million for those in need. We are looking forward to joining hands with the global NFT community and NFT projects – such as Bored Apes, Cryptopunks, Doodle, and others – and helping this beautiful country at its best.” In bad times, we are calling to give a promise to donate income.
“Together, we can face aggression. The Russian offensive has put Ukraine at risk, including some of our teams based in the capital, Kyiv. As the threat level continues to rise, we have organized an emergency evacuation of employees working in the country, relocating them to safe housing in the west of Ukraine. We are making every effort to ensure the safety and well-being of our team during this time.”

Iconia is founded on the belief that the metaverse will become more important than the real world. Art will become more important in the metaverse. It will be a way for people to connect with their history, heritage and humanity. “Iconia’s mission, therefore, is to bring moments of great cultural, historical, or other significance from the real world and memorialize them in the metaverse by creating NFT gallery ideas that are as meaningful to people in the real world as the metaverse.”
