From SXSW and NFT LA, to Conensus and NFT.NYC, Tulum’s own multidisciplinary artist Alejandro Glatt has made it his mission to connect humanity to nature and Web3 technology through the power of fruit.
as the founder of feel the fruit movement, Glatt promotes an experiential healing experience that combines meditation with fruit to engage the five senses, helping others feel grounded and inspired.
With a visual arts and permaculture background specializing in fruits, she has demonstrated her understanding of the fruit growing process and how to reveal the abundance cycle. In sharing the essence of the fruit presented through an artistic and sensual lens, Glatt has been able to delve into the worlds of Web3 and NFT.
His social NFT project, crypto papayaWhich was launched last year at SXSW, it has recently been seen following the 2022 Consensus event. Through altars, ceremonies and large-scale art installations, Glatt’s message is for the world to connect, play and interact with the resources of our nature. Which we often ignore.
Glatt’s bohemian archetype has enabled him to create a world of fruit that serves as a euphemism for the female sexual anatomy, which is symbolically linked to human sexuality and the life created in it.
He also plays an active role with Polygon Studio As its resident artist and NFT creator, she travels to as many conventions around the world as possible, donating her energy and talents to help empower women and bring human spirituality and wonder to conference attendees .
Ahead of NFT.NYC, Be[In]NFT sat down with Glatt in LA to learn more about the interrelationship of crypto nature and technology, and how he continues to promote anti-establishment political and social attitudes, free love and austerity.
“I’m taking every opportunity and showing up with my volume, energy, and hype about what that means,” Glatt told Bee.[In]crypto.
“Art is more than just a screen. It is a medium to interact and present it to engage people through curiosity and attention,” he continued.
For those attending NFT LA, Glatt’s exhibit was made from real, edible fruit, including delicious pineapples.
“The aim was to create art from the screen itself, so we made frames out of actual fruit where people could interact with it.”
The fruit is the embodiment of Glatt’s bohemianism
When we asked the abstract artist why he chose to center his NFT project and art around fruit, he pointed to nature and the world around us, which we often take for granted.
“Nothing is more representative of nature than fruit,” he explained. “From just one seed, comes a tiny plant, which eventually becomes a tree – and that tree gives us fruit. As humans, we have the right to pick up that fresh, beautiful fruit and do whatever we want with it. I have been fortunate. This is the greatest gift that modern art has given us. I am taking the fruit as a concept and showing people how we can connect humanity with nature and web3 technology “
Glatt, who hails from the forests of Tulum, says he would love to be here at NFT.NYC and all these conferences, where he intends to help expand the Web3 movement through human sexuality as an agent of awareness and change. To serve as. Spirituality.
“It is important to know where we live now, because sometimes living in cities, we do not always see or appreciate the nature around us. It’s my mission to help bring that.”
Currently, Glatt is actively launching its NFT collection on the Tezos, Ripple and Solana blockchains. His work has been seen in a variety of hotels, festivals and retreats in Miami, Tulum, Mykonos, Melbourne, Los Angeles, Santa Teresa, Mexico City, Xilitla and Tel Aviv.
