Sebastian GuillemotoCTO and co-founder of dcspark, has shared the rare Cardano smart contract usage that may become possible after the Vasil hard fork upgrade.
Idea: Contracts stalled on Cardano after Vasil Kante.
How: All use of the contract requires a reference input that has an NFT w/ an open mining policy. If the dApp writer wants to pause their contract, they burn the NFT and then close it again when it has to be paused.

The rare use pertains to “halving-able” contracts, which require a reference input containing an NFT with an open mining policy. If the dApp author wants to “pause” the contract, the NFT is burned and then reminded when it needs to “halve”.
Similarly, a stateful contract that has a pause state as an inline datum in the NFT’s UTXO does not require an open policy and may also serve this purpose by allowing the contract to be terminated after it has been paused. .
The above inline datum and reference input are two enhancements that Vasil’s hard fork will bring. These include four different CIPs: CIP-31 (context input), CIP-32 (inline data), CIP-33 (context script) and CIP-40 (collateral output).
The context input (CIP-31) allows multiple dApps to be able to read from the same data at the same time, thus improving concurrency. Inline datums (CIP-32), on the other hand, allow data to be saved on-chain instead of just hashes, as Cardano does now. Developers can interact with scripts more easily because they do not need to include data.
Cardano whales accumulate
In the midst of a accumulation drive, Cardano is back as one of the most actively traded by top whales. According to WhaleStats, ADA is in the top 10 by trading volume among 1,000 largest BSC whales in the last 24 hours. Furthermore, the top 4,000 BSC whales are “holding” ADA worth $16,026,80.
