Shiba’s team said that the tracking platform made decisions on behalf of the coin in a centralized manner without taking its side into confidence by presenting those addresses on the SHIB token page. According to the people behind Memecoin, the incident “highlights the serious problems surrounding the poor level of transparency and willingness to work with Shiba Inu.”
The release describes the processes that should have taken place prior to the decision to enter the SHIB smart contract address:
“This includes the following series of processes: verifying, repairing and evaluating risk-oriented decisions affecting the page of tokens, within their tracking platform, to orient the changes without notice to the verification process.”
Earlier, Shiba Inu cautioned its investors to stay away from controversial SHIB smart contract addresses. Now, this contradicts CoinMarketCap’s arguments that these were cross-chain links that facilitated investments from other networks – Terra, Binance Smart, Solana and Polygon.
lack of support and communication
The Shiba Inu has previously stated that it has faced a lack of prompt and complete support from the trading platform on several occasions.
“We have at times tried to respectfully, orient our attention and professional approach in the way of Reachability, which CoinMarketCap describes as the correct mode of communication – through their ticket support system. Yet each time, the response was limited. or was non-existent,” Shiba Inu elaborated on her complaints against CoinMarketCap.
In a series of tense communications, Shiba Inu’s team complained that CoinMarketCap “refused to communicate with the SHIB team on updates to the tokens page and voluntarily allowed malicious actors to sabotage our listings.” “
case of cross-chain transactions
However, CoinMarketCap did have a message with the controversial addresses saying, “Please note that the non-ETH contact addresses on this page are wormhole addresses designed to facilitate cross-chain transactions of wrapped versions of this asset.” are designed.”
CoinMarketCap tried to clarify, saying that these contract addresses were not malicious, but rather wrapped ones that facilitated cross-chain transactions and streamlined the user experience.
