According to Jeremy Hogan, by April 2022, Ripple and SEC Litigation Could Be Settled
Representative Jeremy Hogan believes that the Ripple-SEC trial will be finalized by April 2022. Responding to an XRP user who asked his honest opinion about the possibility of the Ripple case ending, the lawyer says that the likelihood of the case expanding last summer is quite slim.
Jeremy Hogan, who doubles as US legal advisor for the XRP2 project, offered April as his best guess for the resolution of the case, describing summer as the worst. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has previously stated that he expects the case to be closed in 2022.
In late November, Garlinghouse spoke in a CNBC interview about the progress of the trial. He claims that Ripple is making significant progress in its legal battle with the US Securities and Exchange Commission: “We are seeing great progress despite a slow judicial process.”
Brad Garlinghouse said he expects the case to be focused on XRP, the eighth-largest cryptocurrency, due to expire in 2022. In a December 2020 lawsuit, the SEC alleged that Ripple and its executives sold $1.3 billion worth of XRP in an unregistered securities offering.
So far, so good?
As reported by U.Today, progress has been made on the Ripple case this year. The court’s ruling, presided over by Magistrate Judge Sarah Netburn, has won both Ripple and the SEC a number of significant victories. In July, the court authorized the statement of former top SEC official William Hinman.
in a series of Tweets On the first anniversary, CEO Brad Garlinghouse revealed that Ripple has managed to have its best year ever, despite a legal battle with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
Fast forward to 2022, and the expert search is set to close on 14 January, as both sides filed a motion to move it to this date on 10 December.
