A new survey finds that people in emerging countries have significantly more positive opinions about the metaverse than their developed counterparts. The study by Ipsos for the World Economic Forum (WEF) also shows that LATAM countries are most enthusiastic about the future of the metaverse and its applications to various industries.

More and more companies are interested in the opinion of people in different parts of the world about the metaverse. A new survey conducted by Ipsos for the World Economic Forum finds that, while half of adults around the world have a positive opinion of the metaverse and how it can affect their lives, emerging countries have more views on the issue. enthusiastic feeling.
The study surveyed groups of between 1,000 and 500 adults in 29 different countries, considered representative of each country’s actual population. The study reported that all countries surveyed in LATAM had more positive opinions than the rest of the world regarding Metaverse technologies – including Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil and Peru. Peruvians had an extraordinary opinion about the metaverse, with 74% of adults surveyed reporting positive about it, with only a few countries in the APAC region surpassing it.

The survey also found that a majority of people believe that some applications of Metaverse technology will be more successful than others. When asked what types of Metaverse apps will change people’s lives in the next 10 years, most surveys believed that this technology would help in activities such as virtual learning (66%), entertainment in VR (64%). The effect will be more intense. ), Virtual Work Settings (62%) and Virtual/Enhanced Gaming (60%).
