The creators of Polygon (MATIC) and Avalanche (AVAX) argued about Layer 2 scalability technologies, gas fees, blockchain uptime, gas-lighting, and insecurity.
Polygon’s Nelval Accused Avalanche of “Complete Failure”, Here’s Why
Mr. Nelwal, co-founder and COO of Polygon (MATIC), has taken to Twitter to discuss Avalanche’s subnet as a way to enhance the performance of the blockchain’s mainnet.
,@avalancheavax leadership looks so insecure and scared @0xPolygon Supernets and Resorts to Shit Talking
The real reason is that their “menchen” is a complete failure. Gas fees got unhealthy with minuscule traction. So their defense is the subnet, which is just 1/2 https://t.co/jvGjjBS3Vn . is

First, he highlighted that the recent release of Polygon’s supernet mechanism created insecurity among Avalanche leaders and managers and they were “scared.”
At the same time, Mr. Nelwal stressed, the Avalanche (AVX) mainnet itself acts like a “complete failure”: high fees are imposed on transactions while system progress is very slow.
As such, Avalanche (AVAX) introduced subnets as a way to overcome scalability constraints, but, in reality, these subnets act like a second-layer architecture or sidechain. Ethereum-based Layer 2 protocols and their community have already been doing this “for years,” the co-founder said.
“Innovate, or make fun of”
Finally, he said that it seems that the crypto community has been deceived by “yet another Ethereum killer”.
Pro. Emin Gun Sirer responded quickly to his opponent. The inventor of Avalanche (AVAX) underlined that Sandeep Nelwal should better focus on building a blockchain that doesn’t go “backwards” every day.
When his Twitter followers accused the Avalanche (AVAX) community of “doing nothing but laughing at Polygon”, Prof. Gun Sirer replied that he had no plans to surrender:
No, I’ll do it more. Innovate, or make fun of it.
Polygon’s SuperNets are new EVM-compatible “application-specific” blockchains that can be customized to meet the needs of this or that decentralized application (DApp).
