Fungible token (NFT) weekly sales volume data shows an improvement from last week’s sales metrics, following a surge in the value of crypto assets this week, followed by a Federal Reserve rate hike on Wednesday. At the time of writing, in terms of seven-day sales volume, total NFT sales volume increased by 17.86% to $457 million this week.
NFT Sales Rebound – BAYC, MAYC, Meebits Lead the Pack
After weeks of declining sales volume, non-fungible token (NFT) sales volume has resumed this week. According to data from Cryptoslam.io, out of 15 different blockchain networks, seven-day sales have increased by 17.86% this week. Metrics indicate that the total NFT sales volume during the past week was $457.67 million.
Blockchain Ethereum (ETH) captured the highest sales volume with $398 million of the total sold during the week. Ethereum-based NFT sales grew 21.61% through 64,347 NFT buyers and 158,169 transactions.
Among the top ten blockchains by NFT sales volume this week, Avalanche-based NFT sales increased by 41.06%. Other notable sales growth were driven by a 13.95% increase in Flow and 17.54% increase in Binance Smart Chain this week.
The metrics further show the top NFT collection rankings by sales volume over the past seven days, placing Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) at the top of the rankings. BAYC NFT sales jumped 301.26% this week and Ether-based sales increased by over $74.5 million.
BAYC’s sister NFT project, Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), also experienced a surge this week. MAYC NFT sales are up 321.80% this week with a volume of $52.7 million. The third largest collection in the last seven days in terms of sales is MeBits, an NFT compilation that jumped 708.11% in sales volume this week.
In fact, the four most expensive selling NFTs of the week are the MeBit NFTs. The most expensive NFT sale was Meebit #19564 sold for 301.74 Wrapped Ethereum (WETH) or $833K.
The above three NFT collections also hold the top three floor values today in terms of sales volume. As of March 17th, 2022, the minimum value of the BAYC Collection is 89 Ether or approximately $250K. MAYC holds the second highest floor with 17.8 Ether, or around $50K, while Meebit has a floor value of 4.55 Ether ($12.7K) today.
In terms of this week’s top NFT marketplaces by sales volume over the past seven days, OpenC took the top spot. OpenC’s sales volume was followed by LuxCare, Blocktobe, Mobox, AtomicMarket, Magic Eden and Neftred.
