Non-Fungible Token (NFT) sales have managed to remain consistent this week while the crypto economy has suffered more in the past seven days. A week ago, $152.9 million in NFT sales were recorded across 18 blockchains and during the past week, $154.3 million in sales were executed. While Ethereum saw the most NFT sales this week, the chain saw a 9.23% drop in Ether-based NFT sales volume.
NFT averts this week’s crypto meltdown as NFT sales see a slight increase
At the time of writing, approximately $154,366,090 in NFT sales were recorded across 18 different blockchains and the metric is up about 0.96% from the week before. NFT Collection Bored and Yacht Club (BAYC) saw the highest sales of all NFT Collections with $13,292,929, an increase of 1.01% over the past seven days.
During the past 24 hours, the minimum price of BAYC has dropped to 85.99 ETH ($90K), or 1.2% lower than the day before. In over 158 transactions, BAYC saw 99 buyers buy Bored App NFTs this week.
The second collection with the highest sales this week was Sorare with $11,293,496. Amidst 142,903 transactions and 13,492 buyers, Sorare’s sales grew 201% over the previous week. Sorare is followed by Otherdid which has seen an increase of about 63.65% in weekly sales, or $10,112,650 in sales volume.
While total sales for Ethereum ($107,656,971) were down 9.23% over the previous week, several other blockchains saw an increase in weekly sales. Phantom saw the biggest increase this week as NFT sales on the chain grew 10,616% last week.
panini A growth of 228.58% was registered, BNB saw an increase of 148.97%, and Flow Blockchain NFT sales increased by 112.53%. During the past seven days, 13 out of 18 blockchains saw an increase in NFT sales, while all chains such as Ethereum, Palm, Arbitrum, Cronos and OEC saw a decline.
This week’s most expensive NFT sale was Otherdeed 6 which sold for 249.46 ether or $309K. The Board Ape 211 sold for 194.97 Ether, or $232K, and the Board Ape 2,896 sold for 166 Ether, or $205K. Another deed sale and four bumpy apes were among the top five most expensive NFT sales last week.
OpenSE was the top NFT market this week with $113 million in sales, but sales are down 17.24%. Opensea was followed by X2Y2 with $15.33 million in NFT sales and Magic Eden with $15.04 million in sales.
After being the second largest NFT market by sales volume months ago, Lookaware now commands the fourth largest NFT market in terms of sales with $7.12 million, down 3.66% from last week.
The greatest floor price during the last 24 hours stemmed from NFT collections such as Imposters Genesis Aliens, Lost Poets, Sneaker Heads Official, Lillerose and Creature World.
On June 20, 2022, NFT 30-day sales were down 74.44%, but monthly sales prior to July 2, are down 65.15%, meaning sales have seen a slight improvement.
