Mark Zuckerberg’s company, Meta, has started its non-fungible token expansion to 100 countries across the Americas, Asia-Pacific, Middle-East and Africa with Instagram NFT integration.
Meta, which reported heavy losses in its Q2 earnings report, unveiled its digital asset expansion plan on May 10 this year, and today’s announcement marks the beginning of the plan’s execution. In addition to Instagram NFT integration, the plan also includes adding support for Coinbase Wallet and Dapper Wallet, as well as the ability to post digital collections on the Flow blockchain.
Instagram was chosen as the starting point mainly because of its worldwide popularity.

After the announcement, one just needs to connect a digital wallet to their Instagram account in order to post NFTs.
Some third-party wallet integrations with Instagram that users will be able to link to include Rainbow, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask and Dapper Wallet. Supported blockchains include Flow, Ethereum, and Polygon.
Most importantly, users will not be charged for posting or sharing digital collectibles on Instagram.
In addition to Meta, Flow, a layer-1 blockchain, enjoys a number of other notable partners including Animoca Brands, Warner Music, Ubisoft, the National Basketball Association, Ubisoft, Ubisoft, Circle, Binance, and OpenC.
Flow’s integration with Instagram shows that Meta has a lot of trust in the blockchain, which is a major boost for Flow tokens.
