“Love, Death + Robots” is back at Netflix for a third season — with the help of an NFT scavenger hunt.
According to the show’s website, the scavenger hunt was created in partnership with Web3 Studios and features nine pieces of QR-coded digital artwork across a variety of mediums, including billboards, videos and episodes of sci-fi series.
A non-fungible token, or NFT, is a digital asset that represents ownership of a unique item, such as a piece of artwork, a collectible, or a subscription.
“Love, Death + Robots” NFTs are mined on the Ethereum blockchain. The starting price of each NFT on OpenSea is 0.003 ETH, which is currently around $6.
The “Love, Death + Robots” NFT is just Netflix’s latest plunge into crypto. Last month, the streaming company released “Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King,” a documentary investigating the mystery behind the death of Gerald Cotton, CEO of crypto exchange QuadrigaCX.
