Electronic vehicle maker Tesla is rolling out a new Cyber Whistle inspired by its futuristic Cybertruck series, according to a new product listing posted on Wednesday. The firm wrote:
“Inspired by the Cybertruck, the limited-edition CyberWhistle is a premium collectible made from medical-grade stainless steel with a polished finish. The whistle includes an integrated attachment feature for added versatility.”
All sales are final, and products are expected to ship within 4 to 6 weeks. In addition, Tesla requires buyers to pay only in Dogecoin (DOGE). The price tag is 1,000 DOGE or approximately $60 at the time of publication. Taxes and shipping are included in the DOGE price.
Tesla says Dogecoin is the only cryptocurrency it currently accepts for select merchandise. As with other digital asset transactions, incorrect payment amounts or asset types sent to its address will not be refunded or refunded. Users need a Dogecoin wallet to pay for Tesla goods.
“It is the Buyer’s responsibility to ensure that Dogecoin is transferred correctly.”
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has been a major proponent of the meme currency, claiming last year that “Dogecoin is better than bitcoin for payments.” Following Tesla’s lawsuit, SpaceX also began accepting Dogecoin as payment for goods in May. The billionaire tech entrepreneur recently doubled down on his support of DOGE after a $258 billion lawsuit, alleging a crypto Ponzi scheme in relation to the token. “I will continue to support Dogecoin,” he said.
