Top Ethereum whales continue to scoop up Shiba Inu, even managing to push the coin to first place among their holdings for some time
WhaleStats on-chain data service reports that the top 100 whales on the Ethereum chain continue to acquire Shiba Inu in large quantities.
Over the past 24 hours, they’ve bought another big lump of SHIB, which is worth a total of $57 million over the weekend.
$24 million added to whale’s purse at SHIB
According to data provided by the WhaleStats team, the top 100 investors holding the Ethereum-based coin have bought SHIB worth around $24 million since Sunday. So far, a total of $202,286,128 in the second largest canine token has settled at his address.
According to a tweet published by WhaleStats on Sunday, the Shiba Inu had $178,686,986 in whales at the time. On Sunday, SHIB managed to recapture the first position in the top 10 property list. However, so far, Mem Token has fallen to the fourth position. USDC and USDT stablecoins are sitting in the first two positions.

On Saturday, U.Today reported that, as of Friday, Whale had acquired $33 million worth of SHIB, meaning that in total, over the weekend, they have increased their SHIB stash by the equivalent of $57 million.
Over the weekend, the Shiba Inu exhibited a serious increase in the number of transactions, according to data shared by Santiment. Thus, the network saw 430 SHIB transfers worth over $100,000.
SHIB surpasses DOGE in number of Twitter followers
As previously reported by U.Today, the number of followers of SHIB, the native meme digital currency, has exceeded Dogecoin. At the time of writing, SHIB has 3.44 million Twitter followers, while 3.43 million follow the Dogecoin account.
The Shiba Inu account thanked the SHIB Army for celebrating this new major milestone, calling it “the best community ever.”
Per FollowerAudit, both Canine Coin accounts account for about 10% of fake accounts among their followers. For SHIB, this amount is 10% of the total, while for Dogecoin it is 8.7%.
Another milestone achieved for SHIB
In addition to this milestone, SHIB is expanding the number of platforms that offer SHIB-based trading pairs to its clients. The most recent exchange that has added SHIB is BlueBit.io based in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The platform was established in early 2022.
On August 7, the official account of this exchange asked its followers if they would like to see the Shiba Inu listed there.
