Members of the crypto community supporting the various currencies immediately began seeking clarification. Shib and Dogecoin fans have been the most active so far, wondering if Elon means Doge/ShiB going to the moon.
Earlier this week, Musk announced from his Twitter page that Tesla has finally started selling the company’s merchandise that can only be paid for with Dogecoin. So far the Tesla merch shop offers four items, including the Cybertruck-inspired “Cyberwhistle” and the “Cyberquad for Kids.” The latter is worth 12,020 DOGE, suggesting that Tesla originally started selling its e-vehicles for DOGE.
Many in the Doge community expect the company to start selling electric cars for MemCrypto as a next step.
After yesterday’s 20-percent spike, Dogecoin price declined from $0.199 to a low of $0.1827. So far, the native Mem cryptocurrency has reclaimed the $0.1895 level.
