There’s Bad Blood Between Two Dogecoin Co-Founders
jackson palmer took He took to Twitter to reveal that he was blocked by fellow Dogecoin co-founder Billy Marcus.
Palmer’s strong anti-crypto stance appears to be the main reason behind this move.
Some Twitter users complained that Marcus was too “sensitive” in response to his decision to block the Australian programmer.
Palmer and Marcus co-founded Dogecoin in 2013 as a frivolous bitcoin parody.
Unlike Marcus, who is known for his almost sycophantic devotion to Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Palmer has been highly critical of centibillionaires.
Palmer has repeatedly called Musk a “grifter”, questioning his coding skills and claiming that the tech mogul is using crypto to boost his ego. This led to a public spat between him and the eccentric Tesla boss.
Marcus has been a strong supporter of Musk, elevating his controversial political stance and discussing his memes. One Twitter user complained, “That guy even blocked me when I thought why he’s too protective of Elon Musk.”
Marcus himself has been quite a critic of the cryptocurrency industry. Back in May, he predicted that almost all cryptocurrencies would fall to zero. However, unlike Palmer, who abandoned Dogecoin years ago, Marcus continued to support the meme coin despite claiming he had no skin in the game. The latter reportedly sold all his Dogecoin for a used Honda Civic in 2015.
Last July, Palmer emerged on Twitter to post a viral thread about how crypto is controlled by “a powerful cartel” of wealthy individuals.Recently, they launched a new anti-crypto podcast called GRIFTONOMICS.
