The creator of Dogecoin once again criticized Web3, but this time Elon Musk. Without it
Dogecoin developer Billy Marcus has once again called out the Web3 community in his most recent tweet, suggesting that Web3 users only want money for goods and services without turning it down.
The Dogecoin developer’s story with the web3 industry, in general, began after Elon Musk tweeted, mocking the “web3 people” who were harassing him. The initial tweet prompted double-barrelled animosity toward Web3 from both Marcus and Musk.
Earlier, Elon Musk asked his client if anyone had seen Web3 anywhere, suggesting that the industry had slowed down and the hype around it was slowly passing.
Hours later, Marcus responded to the tweet “looking for web3”, saying it was far less and less undesirable after posting a GIF of a man looking in the toilet.
Why are Musk and Marcus attacking Web3?
While it is unclear why the Dogecoin creators joined the hate train towards Web3, they can both be considered crypto influencers on Twitter who support each other’s tweets and opinions in general.

web3 client: i need money

Musk previously stated that Dogecoin is fundamentally better than anything he has ever seen in the cryptocurrency industry. The main reason behind such a statement was Dogecoin’s fees and speed – which allows a greater number of transactions for a lower cost than bitcoin.
Web3 brings the principle of decentralization to the web, where the users of the Internet will be the sole owners of their data. The concept has become possible with the further development of blockchain and decentralized technologies.
