The cryptocurrency market failed to make any significant changes in the last 24 hours as most of the coins are trading flat without any real anomalies. Of course, there are exceptions, so let’s unpack.
$39K. bitcoin price flat
As seen in the chart below, the last 24 hours were ultimately slightly less volatile than in previous periods.
With one exception where BTC price dropped towards $38,500, the primary cryptocurrency is trading around $39,000 for the most part. This is somewhat expected as it is the weekend and what usually happens is that the volumes are low.
The lack of turbulent price action resulted in far fewer liquidations than in the past. In the last 24 hours, there were only $38 million worth of liquidated long and short positions, where the ratio is also somewhat flat and there is 58% long liquidation. The largest single liquidation order was $800K worth of ETH perp and occurred on OKEx.
Thorchen moves forward, top alt holds steady
Major altcoins among the top 10 failed to generate any significant volatility during the last day.
As seen in the heatmap above, most of the cryptocurrency is trading in the red with minimal losses – typical sideways action. LUNA continued to lose the gains it made during its recent rally as the coin is down another 3% today.
The biggest gainer in the last 24 hours is Thorchen’s RUNE – up 10.5%. With this recent increase, the cryptocurrency has gained a total of 40% over the past week.
Juno, on the other hand, lost the most – around 8%, followed by ANC with 6%. The latter is also the coin that lost the most value for the week – around 47%.
