After much heated debate and melodrama, the fight came to an end as Ben Armstrong, also known as BitboyCrypto, announced that he was dropping his case against Erling Mengshol Jr., also known as Etozi.
In response to a YouTube video posted by Etozzi on November 8, “This YouTuber deceives his fans… filed a defamation suit against
However, Armstrong announced yesterday via a live stream that he was dropping the lawsuit as Etozzi was able to collect $200,000 for his defense.
He officially announced that,
“The matter will be dismissed outright, and I am sincerely sorry that this was made public and misunderstood. However, I just wanted you all to know why I was taking this action. This There was no amusing legal dispute.”
Armstrong says he filed the complaint simply to persuade Etozi to remove his video and has no intention of initiating any legal action.
He further added that the conflict had escalated beyond his expectations as a result of well-known cryptocurrency traders and podcasters like Kobi (Jordan Fish) giving $100,000 to Etozi.
He later said,
“When someone warns you may face the consequences of the SEC, it’s not a joke, guys; that’s a very sensitive issue. To protect my reputation, all I needed was to take down the video.” Because it contains factually incorrect material.”
Interestingly, BitboyCrypto is still available in Atozzi’s video. Bitboy requested Etozi to at least modify the offending sections of the video during yesterday’s live stream. Armstrong did say that Atozzi had “won” in the end, however.
In a tweet, Etozzi said that the dismissal of the lawsuit has yet to be officially confirmed. As informed that “if it is not with prejudice, he may refinance at any time,” he claims he is awaiting formal confirmation from his lawyer.
As soon as the confirmation comes, he vows to return everyone’s donation.
