Since the token launched almost three days ago, the digital currency Apcoin (APE) has been an occasional conversation within the cryptocurrency community on forums and social media. So far, only over 82% of claimable APEs have been claimed and 13,672 unique addresses have received APEs from airdrops. Meanwhile, the creators of Board Apk Yacht Club (BAYC) have shared a video that shows the BAYC metaverse along with an assortment of other popular non-fungible token (NFT) characters.
Qualified Claimants Enter Apcoin Airdrop, Over 82% of Claimable APEs Are Acquired
This week, a new crypto asset called Apkoin (APE) has received a lot of attention since it was introduced by the Apcoin DAO on March 17th, 2022. Bitcoin.com News reported on the Apcoin DAO and explained how millions of Apcoin tokens were airdropped to NFT owners. More specifically, the Apcoin DAO revealed that “15% of the total supply of Apcoin will be made available”. [Bored Ape Yacht Club] NFT holders (boring apes and mutant apes, as well as BAKC dogs combined with BAYC or MAYC).”
At the time of writing, 82.25% of the claimed 15% of Apcoins have been acquired by NFT owners. 15,182 unique addresses are eligible to claim the APE and to date, 13,672 addresses have claimed the token. Currently, Apcoin (APE) is hovering in the top 100 coin market capitalization today, with a market valuation of $1.53 billion. In the grand scheme of the entire $1.9 trillion crypto economy, APE represents 0.08% of that value. On Saturday, APE saw close to $2 billion in global trading volume, with Binance being the top exchange in terms of APE trade volume.
Era Labs teases Metaverse video with popular NFT characters, Animoca brands hint at Apcoin secret project
While NFT owners claim the rest of the APE that can be claimed and traders swap the APE on exchanges, Yug Labs teased a video With regard to the use case of the coin. “See you the other side in April. Powered by @apecoin,” Era Labs’ statement accompanying the video explained. The video shows a bored monkey drinking a magic potion that brings him to a different world filled with other NFT characters.

As the popular song “Break On Thru” by the Doors plays in the background, the star BAYC character in the video is greeted by an NFT-filled submarine-like vehicle consisting of Kryptopunks, KryptoEdz, Nouns, Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC). , Cool Cats, World of Women (Wow), and Meebits characters. On March 17, Animoca Brands tweeted that it had something up its sleeve with regards to Apcoin (APE). The company said:
Animoca Brands is pleased to announce that we will adopt [apecoin] for the secret project we’re developing [Bored Ape Yacht Club],
Animoca Brands also left a link to a URL with the tweet, something called isbrewing.xyz where people can register. The web portal shows similar visuals that can be seen in the recently teased Yug Labs video. Visitors who wish to register need to take advantage of the MetaMask wallet, but must also be KYC-verified via Blockpass. The company is a KYC and AML screening software-as-a-service firm dedicated to crypto assets and decentralized finance (DFI).
Blockchain firm Animoca Brands revealed its collaboration with Blockpass in September 2021 when the company said it was using the firm’s KYC tool to “verify NFT prize winners.” Animoca Brands co-founder and president Yat Siu said that Blockpass technology could bring a “higher level of compliance” to the NFT ecosystem.
