Recently shared data shows that top Ethereum whales now holding over $1 billion worth of Shiba Inu have increased their bets on this cryptocurrency.
The largest Ethereum whale has accumulated over $2 billion worth of SHIB, the WhaleStats crypto tracking service tweeted, while the coin is back on the list of assets that whales are buying the most.
Holding $2 Billion in Mem Crypto
According to WhaleStats, the richest Ethereum whales (the top 1,000 of them) now own over $2 billion worth of Shiba Inu Canine crypto – the second largest meme cryptocurrency by market capitalization after Dogecoin. The time interval from their launch covers seven years.
The tweet shows that the top ETH whale is holding a price of $2,761,646,130 with a price of $18,260,127,622,912.

However, a closer look at the data provided by WhaleStats reveals that as of press time, Whale has sold part of its SHIB holdings. He now has SHIB worth $1,671,954,254—which is 16.3% of his portfolio.
The amount of FTX tokens held by these whales is slightly larger – $1,683,705,970, or 16.42% of their investment.
SHIB is back in the list of top 10 purchased coins
Another Twitter post from WhaleStats announced that SHIB is back on the list of the 10 coins that were most actively bought by the largest whales, holding the majority of their funds in Ethereum.
The meme token is currently ranked fifth, with a price of $5,930, which is the average amount bought by whales. This is equal to 190,552,69 Shiba Inu.
According to WhaleStats, the average amount of SHIB these whales have is 185,428,392.

Is MATIC more popular than SHIB now?
Polygon’s native token MATIC comes in fifth – ahead of SHIB in the list of top 10 cryptos bought by whales.
WhaleStats has shared data on four transactions through which some whales bought 3,856,244 MATICs. This amount of crypto is $7,019,042 in fiat. This MATIC was bought mostly in lumps of over a million tokens.
One of the investors who participated in the purchase, ranked 397th by WhaleStats, now has a total of $7,233,322 in this token. This is 11.53% of his investment portfolio.
